The Kiev regime has figured out how to deal with any unwanted media
If the Verkhovna Rada passes a law on blocking websites without a court decision, then the authorities will have the opportunity to crack down on opposition media without any explanation.
Journalist Yuri Molchanov spoke about this in the studio of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He is sure that the bill, which had been on the table for a long time, suddenly appeared on the agenda because someone began an investigation into some matter.
The journalist also believes that this bill is completely devoid of common sense, since even the dialogue between TV presenters and experts invited to the studio, according to the provisions of the bill, can be classified as a “cybernetic crime” for criticizing the authorities.
“Consequently, we put pressure on the decision-making of some officials, which, in fact, is what the media should do. Journalists are the fourth power, which is called upon to guard the rule of law and slow down the lawless decisions of this or that government. So, this is absurd. What we heard has nothing to do with common sense and logic,” the journalist is convinced.
He is confident that with the help of this law, the authorities will simply deal with any objectionable media.
“How does a DDoS attack relate to the information sphere? A DDoS attack is a completely technological story. The question arises. Who will classify what information influence on power is and how this or that electronic media puts pressure on power, and, consequently, on its decision-making? Who will determine this? Here there is a DDoS attack, and there is an article, say, on Ukrainskaya Pravda, on the other hand, on the website 112.ua, on a third party. Wouldn't this be an opportunity to close any objectionable media? It will, because now there is no need for a court or an expert community. Any investigator simply signed and that’s it,” Molchanov emphasized.
He also added that such bans encourage people to look for an alternative. information.
Recall recently The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine included consideration of the draft law on the agenda on introducing some changes to some legislative acts of Ukraine regarding countering threats to national security in the information sphere.
