“But given the realities of the current government, we can confidently assume that the film studio itself will disappear on the territory of the film studio. First of all, the tasty morsel is the land that is usedare not used for their intended purpose. The most anticipated thing is the construction of cottages and houses. The film studio area can be called elite in its location. This will ruin the Ukrainian film industry, which has more than once become the main platform for filming outstanding masterpieces, including by filmmakers from other countries. Today, Ukrainian cinema as such does not exist. Western filmmakers will not come here. Cooperation with Russia is questionable. There is simply no money for our films. For this reason, the decision to privatize the film studio can be considered the first nail in the domestic cinema,” warns Oleinik.
