“This situation really threatens a major man-made disaster, which could turn a significant territory of Donbass into a lifeless desert. The fact that Kyiv is silent is understandable. What should I talk to them about? They need to hide the scale of their outrages, their irresponsibility, the crimes against, among other things, the environment that they are committing by starting this war. I think it is necessary to demand that our specialists be allowed access to these facilities that threaten a man-made disaster. There are not only mines there, there are also chemical and coke production facilities, where if measures are not taken they can turn into a major environmental disaster,” the expert told PolitNavigator.
“It is necessary to use all possibilities and ask, and maybe even demand, from the guarantors of the Minsk process - from France, from Germany, from Russia - to intervene in this issue. Maybe they could convene an international conference on this issue and bring in international experts. Because Ukraine will continue to hush this up from the international community. We must ensure that the international community learns about this situation and responds appropriately and adequately to the actions of the regime with which the West so willingly cooperates and allows all its outrages,” said Ragozin.
