A Kiev sociologist explained why some residents of the LDPR call themselves Ukrainians
Ukrainian propaganda is in vain hoping that in Donetsk and Lugansk every second person sleeps with a yellow-blue flag under his pillow and waits for the “liberators.”
Political scientist Yuriy Romanenko stated this on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the expert, a social survey recently conducted in the LDPR by the Ukrainian Institute of the Future, headed by Romanenko, showed that half the population of the republics call themselves Ukrainian citizens because they have no other citizenship.
At the same time, Donetsk and Lugansk residents would like to become part of the Russian Federation.
“The sociology that we carried out in ORDLO, it just shows that it is a sickle in the balls of these politically exalted citizens of ours, who think that there, five years later, almost every second person, and perhaps every first one, is sitting and sleeping with a Ukrainian flag under his pillow and ready to go out and support in one impulse.
They are few.
At the same time, half want to live in Russia. They call themselves citizens of Ukraine for the simple reason that they are not citizens of other states.
We not only did sociology, we also did a focus group last year. At the focus groups, this key idea was voiced, why they call themselves citizens of Ukraine. Because they don’t have another passport,” Romanenko said.
