A Kiev court found the Ukrainian ambassador to Canada guilty of giving false testimony
The Administrative Court of Appeal today upheld the decision of the Kyiv District Court, which recognized the actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of Ukraine to Canada Andriy Shevchenko, who gave false testimony to the Canadian authorities, as unlawful, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Ukrainian lawyer Andrei Portnov, who held the position of deputy head of the Administration for legal issues under Yanukovych, reported this on his telegram channel.
“Thus, today, by a court decision that has entered into legal force, the facts of falsification of documents and the provision of false information to Canadian justice have been established,” Portnov wrote.
According to him, the next move on the part of his legal team is “to recover from Ambassador Shevchenko all the funds spent by me over five years of struggle, to initiate criminal prosecution and to transfer all his personal property to himself.”
“Don't switch. It will be very instructive,” added Portnov.
