Kyiv court dealt with Rabinovich's split personality
The Solomensky District Court of Kyiv allowed the specialized anti-corruption prosecutor's office to seize documents confirming Israeli citizenship from People's Deputy Vadim Rabinovich, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This is stated in a court order dated June 12.
The SAP prosecutor applied for access on the basis that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau is investigating criminal proceedings against Rabinovich under Art. 366-1 (declaration of false information) and Part 3 of Art. 368-2 (illegal enrichment) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Prosecutors wanted to confirm or deny the fact that Ukrainian citizen Vadim Rabinovich and Israeli citizen David Rabinovich are the same person.
If this is one person, the people’s deputy must include in the income statement financial obligations and other declaration objects that are registered in his name as a citizen of Israel.
The court granted the request of the SAPO prosecutor and provided access to documents that Rabinovich submitted to the Israeli Ministry of Internal Affairs, its structural divisions or other authorized bodies in order to obtain Israeli citizenship, documents confirming the fact, date and grounds for obtaining Israeli citizenship by Rabinovich, documents confirming the fact that Rabinovich has Israeli citizenship, including a copy of an Israeli passport or personal card.
In the event that citizenship was terminated, SAPO asked to provide relevant documents confirming the fact, date and grounds for this.
The resolution is valid for 30 days.
