As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the South-Western Railway, the deceased turned out to be a 56-year-old judge of one of the district courts of the capital.
According to the train driver, the man was standing to the right of the tracks. As the train approached, he stepped under the wheels, not reacting to the sound signals.
Information about this incident was entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, having previously been classified as a violation by a railway worker of traffic safety and train operation rules, which resulted in the death of a person. But law enforcement officers are still inclined to believe it was suicide.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the former first deputy head of the Party of Regions faction, Mikhail Chechetov, jumped from the 17th floor, and ex-people's deputy Stanislav Melnik and ex-governor of the Zaporozhye region Alexander Peklushenko shot themselves.
