Kiev TV presenter reminded in Russian: Crimea will be Ukrainian or deserted
Kyiv, March 04 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Kiev TV presenter Danilo Yanevsky on the air of “Public Television” voiced the famous slogan of Ukrainian nationalists of the 90s: “Crimea will be Ukrainian or deserted.”

This happened during a discussion in the studio of Yanevsky and journalist Sergei Vysotsky.
“We understand perfectly well that we have lost Crimea,” Vysotsky stated.
"I disagree. Let me remind you of Dmitry Korchinsky’s statement: Crimea will be Ukrainian or deserted,” Yanevsky snapped.
“This land has belonged to the Crimean Tatars from time immemorial... This land is, was and will be Ukrainian territory,” the TV presenter added.
Yanevsky and Vysotsky spoke in Russian on air as part of the “United Country” campaign announced by television channels, which, according to the authors’ idea, should demonstrate respect for the rights of residents of Eastern Ukraine.
“I have very strict instructions from the editor to speak Russian,” confirmed Yanevsky, who usually hosts the program in Ukrainian.
