The publication notes that with the approaching Ukrainian elections, politicians will begin to talk about the “wise Ukrainian people” from all possible screens in order to win the sympathy of voters, but the “smart people” elect bad leaders over and over again.
The publication believes that the Ukrainian people simply allow themselves to be manipulated.
“With the Ukrainian people this is not difficult - their memory is about the same as that of aquarium fish. This is especially evident now, when any news item only lasts for two or three days. A month later, no one will remember the next scandal or promise made by some politician. It turns out that today they promise one thing, tomorrow another, the day after tomorrow they vote for a third, a week later a person is caught for corruption, but by the next election he calmly sells a crystal clear biography to voters. And they believe.
The people do not have an understanding of what is happening in the country, at least at an average, comprehensive level. Scraps of news, rumors, gossip, someone’s statements on TV, posts from social networks form in the head a completely monstrous, phantasmagoric picture of the surrounding reality,” the magazine summarizes.
