Kiev magazine scares Lithuania with Lukashenko’s “small victorious war”
During the upcoming Russian-Belarusian exercises “Zapad-2021”, armed incidents on the border with Lithuania cannot be ruled out.
The PolitNavigator correspondent reports that in one of the most rabid mouthpieces of Kyiv anti-Russian propaganda, the Ukrainian Tyzhden magazine, the Belarusian journalist Sergei Pulsha, who supports the Maidan activists, writes about this.
“A small victorious war” is perhaps the only technique that Lukashenko did not use to rally the rebellious people around his person. Recalling the situation with the dead migrant, Belarusian analysts do not rule out that during the Zapad-2021 exercises some kind of incident could be provoked on the western border. That same “shooting in an unknown direction” may “accidentally” hit which border guard, either from the Belarusian or Lithuanian side - it doesn’t matter. This could be declared an act of Western aggression against the always peaceful Belarus,” the article notes.
According to the author, Lukashenko will not dare to start such a conflict on his own, but the fact of the presence of the Russian army in Belarus, who arrived for exercises, can remove the psychological barrier.
“Lukashenko has already stated that within the framework of the Union State, Russia must protect Belarus from external aggressors,” recalls Pulsha.
