This forecast was published on the pages of the Kyiv magazine “Focus”, according to which, the Russian government, suffering defeat in the economy, is trying to save its rating by betting on consolidation against an external enemy, saying that in Ukraine the economic situation is even worse.

“In the absence of a military conflict in Ukraine and if the economic situation here begins to rapidly deteriorate, this strategy will reach a dead end,” the publication predicts. – As Russia’s GDP begins to decline decisively and reserves are depleted, the people of Russia (as has happened more than once) will change their opinion 180 degrees. 76% support will be replaced by 80% protesters; the struggle with Europe is replaced by the desire to “enter the European world.” To replace “Crimea” and “Russian spring” - “stop feeding the parasites” and “let Ukraine deal with them.
