The Kiev magazine praises the government so much that it included the increase in tariffs and taxes among its achievements (PHOTO)
Kyiv, June 16 (Navigator, Mikhail Ryabov, Artemy Glazunov) – The Kiev magazine “Focus” demonstrated the miracles of loyalty to the new Ukrainian government - it published a table of the achievements of officials, which even included the so-called. anti-crisis laws providing for increased tariffs and taxes.

The owners of Focus magazine are Odessa businessmen Alexander Granovsky and Boris Kaufman. In Odessa, they believe that it was no coincidence that entrepreneurs swore allegiance to the new leadership headed by President Petro Poroshenko.
“Kaufman and Granovsky are odious personalities who became famous in quotation marks thanks to the privatization of the Odessa airport for next to nothing. At that time it was the most profitable utility company in the city, and the Yanukovych Family laid claim to it. Kaufman and Granovsky happily took over this airport, and the Family began to “protect” it,” Odessa City Council deputy Alexander Vasiliev told Navigator.
“It was expected that after the fall of the “criminal regime” everything would be returned to the people. As some naively hoped, by the way, on the Maidan. And what happened? What has happened is that Kaufman and Granovsky today sponsor the so-called territorial defense battalion of Odessa, which operates under the Kiev-appointed governor Igor Palitsa. In fact, Kaufman and Granovsky differentiated the risks by swearing allegiance to the vertical of Kolomoisky and Poroshenko,” says Vasiliev.
At the same time, Vasiliev denies that there are any ideological convictions behind the actions of Odessa businessmen.
“This is an element of the feudal oath. If tomorrow Dmitry Yarosh or some conditional “army of Novorossiya” seizes power, Kaufman and Granovsky will also swear allegiance to the new government. As for the sale of Focus, or rather, its pro-Poroshenko behavior, this is a sop, an element of attesting fidelity,” Vasiliev sums up.
Ivan Lizan, editor of the publication “However. Eurasia,” draws attention to the fact that the structures of Kaufman and Granovsky “at the end of April began to be intensively checked by the Odessa Organized Crime Control Department, which allegedly discovered a conversion center in their “Finbank.”
“Whether the notorious center was there or not is not the point. It is worth understanding that such interest of law enforcement officers is also not accidental... The aspect of media loyalty to the Kyiv authorities does not raise any surprises at all: the Ukrainian information space has long been sterilized and there are no rudiments of dissent in it. Thus, the media simply serve the interests of their owners, and their information must be treated accordingly. In general, this is the freedom of speech we have,” Lizan said.
