A Kiev journalist confirmed: There is a civil war in Donbass, not Putin’s invasion
There is a paradoxical situation in Donbass when citizens of the same country kill each other. At the same time, both sides are confident that only their values are the only true ones. Dmitry Filimonov, a Kiev journalist who visited the DPR and LPR, stated this in an interview with Rusinform.

“People of the same country who lived together are standing and killing each other. Only some are told that they are fighting with the Russian army, while others are told that they are fighting with mercenaries. But in fact, ordinary rural and city guys kill each other. Plus, they are joined on both sides by adventurers, professional mercenaries, and simply people who want to gain combat experience,” notes Filimonov.
The journalist also adds that both warring sides in Donbass have the same values, but because of the civil war, they are extolled under different flags.
“Reality is completely mirrored. All the things that are said here are also said there. If here we say: occupied territory, then people there say the same. We say that we are poorly armed here, and there people are armed to the teeth with Russian modern weapons, then units in the DPR and LPR complain about the same thing, that the dill are armed to the teeth. There are a lot of such things - dissatisfaction with the civil authorities both here and here can be listed for a very long time. People are people, different flags are simply put in their hands, and ideas are put in their heads. But, in fact, there is a civil war,” Filimonov assures.
