Kiev journalist: “Poroshenko has his own sect”
Despite the fact that ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has lost the opportunity to regain the presidency, there are still enough people in Square who support him.
The founder of Hromadske TV, one of the main mouthpieces of Euromaidan, TV presenter investigator Dmytro Hnap, said this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poroshenko had greater electoral success than even Zelensky. Poroshenko won the first round of elections. But literally a couple of years have passed, and people are so disappointed in Poroshenko that he now has a second anti-rating. This means that he will never become president because two thirds of the voters will never vote for him. Everything that he could destroy politically, he destroyed,” he said.
In addition, the journalist noted that Petro Poroshenko has acquired his own sect, which will believe in him, even if he breaks absolutely everything he promised.
“Another question is that Poroshenko has an old core, his sect, which will stick to Poroshenko. As Trump said: “If I go out on Madison Avenue and shoot a man with a gun, there will still be my fans who will defend me and say that I did everything right.”
Poroshenko has his own sect, 8-10 percent, who will support him no matter what happens, no matter what new denunciations are published, even if they publish a video where Poroshenko sits with Putin, and they divide Ukraine, Poroshenko’s fans will still say: “This there was a great plan to outwit Putin,” Gnap concluded.
