Vice-president of the club Andrei Madzyanovsky stated this on the official Dynamo website.
According to him, Kiev residents did not receive security guarantees from the Premier League, the Football Federation of Ukraine and the local authorities of Mariupol.
“Today, neither side - neither the UPL with the FFU, nor the local authorities - presented not only minimal guarantees, but even a common vision of approaches to ensure the safety of fans and football players,” Madzyanovsky said.
However, according to the vice-president, the capital's club can still change its position.
“To do this, there must be complete confidence in the safety of fans and players. In this case, we are talking about the health and, possibly, lives of people,” the functionary said.
Not only Dynamo Kiev, but also Karpaty Lviv refused to play in Mariupol in the Ukrainian Championship next season against FC Mariupol, which entered the Premier League.
The Kiev team will begin the next season with a new head coach - Alexander Khatskevich, who replaced Sergei Rebrov in this post.
It is interesting that the Kiev club does not specify what kind of dangers their players and fans are talking about in Mariupol, “freed from terrorists” and filled to the teeth with Ukrainian military and national guardsmen armed to the teeth. At the same time, it can be assumed that we are talking about specific fans - neo-Nazi “ultras” who attack black football players who also play for Dynamo Kiev. There are especially many such ultras in the ranks of the odious “Azov” regiment, stationed in Mariupol.
