Along with the traditional slogan of right-wing Ukrainian radicals “Glory to the nation - death to enemies,” you can also see more specific calls here: “Death to the Katsaps” and “Mother, let your son go to war.”
Among the symbols, in particular, a swastika is found adjacent to the image of the runic symbol Wolfsangel (“wolf hook”), adopted in Hitler’s Germany as the official emblem of the SS division “Das Reich”. In Ukraine, the corresponding symbols were used by the Social National Party before its renaming into the VO “Svoboda” and continues to be the emblem of the right-wing radical organizations SNA and “Patriot of Ukraine”, as well as the Azov patrol police regiment.
It is noteworthy that in Obolon, in single-mandate electoral district No. 217, the Azov commander and leader of the Social-National Assembly Andrei Biletsky is running for the Verkhovna Rada, who earlier in his publications called for “awakening the racial consciousness of the Russian-speaking east of Ukraine and Ukrainian territories within Russia” and “start treatment of the national organism with the racial cleansing of the nation."
As PolitNavigator has already reported, On October 14, Andrei Biletsky’s colleagues from the police regiment took part in the riots near the Verkhovna Rada.
