The Kiev City Council recognized Russia as an aggressor country to applause
Kiev, January 28 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The Kiev City Council supported the Verkhovna Rada’s appeal to the UN, the European Parliament, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, NATO, the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, the GUAM Parliamentary Assembly and the parliaments of the world to recognize the Russian Federation as an aggressor state.

At the next plenary meeting of the Kyiv Council, deputies supported the corresponding decision of the Verkhovna Rada.
“We are obliged to support the decision of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and recognize the Russian Federation as an aggressor country. The corresponding draft decision will be distributed to you and put to a vote today,” said the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko before the start of voting.
According to the edition "KievVlast", out of 109 deputies, 105 people supported the initiative, 4 people did not vote at all. After the voting results were announced, deputies stood up to applaud their decision.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday The Verkhovna Rada recognized Russia as an aggressor country and appealed to the world community to recognize the Russian Federation as an aggressor country, while receiving electricity, gas and coal from the Russian Federation at preferential prices.
