Kyiv has nothing more to offer the European Union
The honey season in relations between the European Union and Ukraine is over and finally took shape at the Ukraine-EU summit that took place recently, Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.

“Poroshenko’s meeting with Donald Tusk and Jean-Claude Juncker ended, as we know, in nothing. The high-ranking visitors refused to support Ukraine's European prospects in writing, and the provision of financial assistance in the amount of 600 million was strictly linked to a long-standing demand - the cutting down and sending of Ukrainian forests to Europe. And this already completed refusal of Brussels (Paris, Berlin, Warsaw) from the most favored nation regime in relations with Kiev can be called natural,” the publication notes.
“Europe received the maximum possible from the association and visa-free regime with Ukraine, almost everything - a market for its goods, labor resources, cheap raw materials and a conflict with Russia. This means that further political and financial assistance can be provided on a residual basis, and the demand for ongoing reforms should become stricter. Meanwhile, Kiev, having given the idea of “European integration” everything that is most valuable, does not know what else to ask from Europe: an association agreement and liberalization of the visa regime were granted to them, and the EU hosts clearly advised their Ukrainian interlocutors not to stutter about something more,” – summarizes “RG”.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukrainian diplomats admitthat the harder Ukraine knocks on the door of the EU, the stronger the desire of Europeans to prevent even the theoretical possibility of Ukraine’s membership in the European Union.
