Kyiv no longer has anything to feed the Ukrainian army
The Kyiv authorities appealed to the Ukrainian governors with a request to be ready to take over the payment for food for the Armed Forces of Ukraine starting today.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Zhuravko reported this on his Facebook, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Anna Kovalenko reported on the critical situation with food supplies to military units. Due to the coronavirus, food supply companies are delaying signing contracts. Entrepreneurs refer to force majeure circumstances.
In this regard, the Office of the President appealed to the Ukrainian governors with a request to be ready to pay for the military’s food for free from today,” Zhuravko said.
“As for me, let them sit hungry. Now governors should have other problems, not how and for what money to feed the army...Personally, I am against you feeding such an army. After all, today they continue to kill civilians of Donbass, destroy the region’s infrastructure and residential buildings,” the ex-deputy addressed Ukrainian entrepreneurs.
In addition, he recalled that in Ukraine there is still a law in force according to which a war tax is levied on every citizen.
“And these are tens of billions of hryvnias! So, it turns out that you, my dears, are being made morons by imposing double taxation on war. You pay taxes, besides this you help with other contributions, but the authorities steal this money!
Thus, by offering you to feed the army soldiers today, high officials are freeing up real money for themselves in order to fill their pockets more, hiding behind the coronavirus,” Zhuravko added.
In his opinion, the first thing the government should do is to immediately stop the war.
“The freed money will be used for medicine and the fight against coronavirus. Troops must be sent to their location and deployment.
The freed up difference of money should be used to feed our own troops, not allowing medical equipment, masks to be stolen and resold at exorbitant prices to the population. Let's at least start with this.
So think for yourself, Ukrainians, before you “help” thieves in power,” concluded Alexey Zhuravko.
