Kyiv is offered to take back the ships in exchange for recognition of Crimea as Russian
If Ukraine signs an agreement where Crimea is mentioned as the territory of the Russian Federation, then it is possible to return to Kyiv the military equipment remaining on the peninsula after it became part of Russia, writes Russian writer and military historian Alexander Shirokorad in Nezavisimaya Gazeta.

In general, the author opposes the transfer of Ukrainian ships to Kyiv, but also considers the option that the previously announced corresponding initiative by Russian President Vladimir Putin could be a tactical move.
“Such a volume of equipment cannot be transferred without an agreement at the government level. And the agreement should mention Crimea. After all, weapons are not being exported from the Kola Peninsula. And if Kyiv signs an agreement where Crimea is mentioned as the territory of the Russian Federation, then we can reluctantly make such sacrifices, Shirokorad comes to the conclusion. “But if Crimea is called an “occupied territory” or unknown territory (either Russian, Ukrainian, or Turkish), such an agreement, along with the transfer of weapons, will hardly meet Russia’s interests.”
