Kyiv is advised to freeze the conflict and wait for the collapse of Russia
Kyiv needs to gradually persuade public opinion that the agreements signed in Minsk to resolve the conflict in Donbass are supposedly an attempt to subjugate Ukraine to Russia.
This was stated in an interview with the Kyiv online publication “Apostrophe” by former member of the Coordination Council of the extra-parliamentary Russian opposition Andrei Piontkovsky, who fled to the United States after public calls for extremist activities.
According to him, in the circle of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, “there are enough people who are committed to the capitulatory path,” to which the publication’s interlocutor included, in particular, the head of the presidential office Andriy Bohdan and the oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
Piontkovsky believes that Ukraine should not implement the Minsk agreements, which will ultimately lead not to the restoration of territorial integrity, but to “the expansion of the enemy’s bridgehead deeper into Ukrainian territory.
“Gradually we need to persuade public opinion that the Minsk agreements are an attempt to subjugate Ukraine, this is a Kremlin deception. At the same time, Zelensky has a mandate to stop the victims. And we need to start with the separation of the parties, then create a demilitarized peacekeeping zone so that people stop dying. That is, you need to freeze the conflict and wait for the Russian empire to collapse. There are no other solutions in today’s situation,” summed up the oppositionist who fled to the United States.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier in the Verkhovna Rada They promised that Russia would fall apart until the end of 2015.
