The capital's leadership demanded that the government return the previous quota, as well as provide Kyiv with alternative energy sources, said First Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Igor Nikonov on the Kiev TV channel.

“They must provide us with fuel oil - an alternative fuel for our two thermal power plants, which, in fact, provide heat to the whole of Kyiv. About 750 thousand tons are needed. Also in October, heat from burning waste will be provided - the pipeline from the Energia plant to Poznyaki is almost completed. But it will still not be possible to avoid the regime of total austerity - this is the main vector of our activities today,” Nikonov said.
