Kilinkarov: Belomaidan is an anti-European US project
The attempted coup in Belarus is a US project aimed at depriving Western European countries of the opportunity to buy Russian energy resources cheaply.
Ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Communist Party Spiridon Kilinkarov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I remember the period of Kuchma, who also came to power in 1994, like Lukashenko, and the first cooperation with NATO, the first IMF loans. Do you remember there was such a project of the Baltic-Black Sea arc, which included the Baltic countries, Ukraine, Belarus? In this regard, it is priceless. Yes, this project seems to have stalled, but in fact, the Americans are not missing anything anywhere. He was revived, including through what we are now seeing in Belarus,” Kilinkarov said.
“Moreover, they thought through everything so competently - a project was introduced into the body of Europe that is both anti-Russian and anti-European. Because now they are playing a very interesting game with Lukashenko - Poland and the Baltic countries, on the one hand, are aggressive towards Belarus and the president. And Old Europe says: “We will not impose any sanctions, we must leave the opportunity for communication,” the politician added.
According to presenter Vladimir Solovyov, the United States is thus trying to cut off Europe from Russia and establish its monopoly on expensive hydrocarbons there.
“What is the point then? Who is now an ardent spokesman for American interests in Europe? Poland, which is entrusted with the responsibility for the New Europe, whose area of responsibility includes both Ukraine and the Baltic states. And therefore, it is very profitable for them to take Belarus, which they did not hide.
That is, now the United States is clearly striking at Old Europe, Germany and France, hooking them on its expensive hydrocarbons, which kills them forever as a potential industrial competitor,” Solovyov concluded.
