Kiselev: After imitation elections in Donbass, Russia will face new sanctions, and Ukraine will face a new war
Moscow - Kyiv, November 3 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Elections in the DPR and LPR took place with the wildest violations, Western observers turned out to be either freak impostors or represented far-right parties in Europe, writes in his blog on "Echo of Moscow" Ukrainian TV presenter Evgeniy Kiselev. He is confident that the elections will be followed by new sanctions against the Russian Federation and its military invasion of other regions of eastern Ukraine.

“Even old man Churov never dreamed of this,” writes Kiselev.
“The queues at the polling stations, where carrots are waiting for voters - in the literal sense of the word - there are many photographs posted online where you can see heaps of bags of carrots, potatoes, cabbage, onions at a symbolic price: 1 hryvnia - about three rubles - per kilogram. In addition to carrots, other “pleasant surprises” await young men at the polling stations. They are given summonses to be drafted into the armed forces of the separatists – “LPR” and “DPR”; apparently, there is an acute shortage of manpower,” the TV presenter notes.
“At the same time, the Russian media report about some foreign observers confirming that the elections are supposedly being held honestly and nobly. What the hell, international observers, I want to ask, when the whole world - the United States, the European Union, and NATO - refuses to recognize these elections as legitimate and criticizes Russia for taking a completely opposite position?! - exclaims Kiselev. – Foreign observers, it seems to me that these are some kind of “Kizhe’s lieutenants” of our time. Or impostors like the German pseudo-professor Lorenz Hag, whose approving statements in support of Putin’s policies were often quoted by pro-Kremlin media, until Deutsche Welle journalists, after conducting their own investigation, found out that this Hag is a nobody, a soap bubble.”
The OSCE, Kiselyov recalled, denies reports that some of its representatives are allegedly monitoring today’s “elections.”
“However,” Kiselyov admits, “information has appeared on the Internet that several ultra-right and ultra-left European politicians - the names of the Italian Alessandro Musolino, the Austrian Ewald Stadler, the Belgian Frank Kreielman - have actually appeared in the territory controlled by the separatists and are trying to act as observers on their behalf the same created clone organization of the OSCE, which is called ABCE - either an “association” or an “agency” for security and cooperation in Europe.” “Well, it wasn’t noticed today that European ultra-radicals are breathing unevenly in relation to the Putin regime,” the TV presenter notes sarcastically.
According to Kiselyov, the West will regard Moscow’s support for the elections in the “LPR” and “DPR” as an escalation of the conflict, which will lead to new sanctions against Russia.
The TV presenter did not rule out that Putin “will use the results of the “elections” to expand Russian intervention, including military intervention, in the east and southeast of Ukraine - for example, referring to requests from the supposedly legitimate newly elected authorities of the “DPR” and “LPR.” And this means that, alas, there may be a new war ahead,” summed up Evgeny Kiselev.
