Kiselyov: The West will consider Russian-Belarusian integration an “annexation” and will introduce new sanctions
Negotiations between the heads of Russia and Belarus in Sochi ended without results. However, Russia may agree to “annex” Alexander Lukashenko’s fiefdom through the form of integration. But the West will impose new sanctions against it.
Russian liberal journalist Evgeny Kiselev, who fled from Moscow to Kyiv, stated this in an interview with Ukrlife.TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We haven’t agreed on anything. They negotiated for five hours, hugged, kissed and parted ways.
Things are still there... and it seems to me that this is just some kind of annexation of Belarus, which, apparently, is being thought about in the Kremlin and Moscow - this is a “red line” for Putin.
If he goes beyond this “red line” again, he may receive new sanctions without any Donetsk and Lugansk.
Again, I am correcting myself here - if this is presented as some kind of formal agreement between Moscow and Minsk, sanctions cannot be applied here.
But there are always options for an asymmetrical response, when the West’s policy towards Russia becomes tougher not in the form of sanctions, but simply in fact,” said the liberal hater of the Kremlin.
