“I flew abroad on personal business for only three days, today I returned from London and unexpectedly I was stopped at passport control and all my documents were taken away. I waited for about an hour (at the Boryspil airport - editor’s note), then I was invited to a special room, where they read out to me the decision of the border service banning entry,” the TV channel quotes Kisilev "Inter".

According to him, behind the detention there is either a mistake or a political motive.

“Perhaps I was confused with my Russian namesake, Dmitry Kiselev,” the TV presenter suggested, and also put forward another version - the reason is too active criticism of the country’s leadership because of the “Ilovaisk tragedy.”

Assistant to the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine Sergei Astakhov confirmed Kiselev’s detention at the airport. “Indeed, at the border, at the Boryspil airport, a situation arose around this citizen, it is being resolved. Let's wait a little, there will be official information. There was an order from one of the authorized state bodies,” he said, noting that we are not talking about deportation, since Kiselev was not allowed to cross the state border.

At 18:00 it became known that Kiselev was allowed into Ukraine.
