China and the EU have made Ukraine a railway pariah
The main international freight rail route between China and Europe will not pass through Ukraine.
Former Deputy Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kava spoke about this on his Facebook page, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main international freight rail route between China and Europe was along the Ukrainian border, not through Ukraine. In Paris, the International Union of Railways and the Freight Transport Association FERRMED signed a memorandum on the development of Eurasian logistics for the transportation of goods between China and the EU.
The parties agreed to join forces in eliminating network bottlenecks, increasing the efficiency and speed of transportation, monitoring train traffic, increasing the length of freight trains, increasing axle load, etc.,” said Kava.
