China has begun preparations for war with the United States
The People's Republic of China is taking measures of both a military and economic nature to counter Washington.
The head of the Expert Council of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development, Yuri Tarnovsky, writes about this, as the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in Moskovsky Komsomolets.
“The strategic decisions were made during the traditional August meeting of Chinese leaders at the seaside resort of Beidaihe, near Shandong province. Since the time of Mao Zedong, these meetings have been held in an informal and secret atmosphere, but decisions to one degree or another become known through the system of internal party information and targeted leaks to Chinese and foreign media,” writes Tarnovsky.
According to him, the Beidaihe 2020 decisions confirmed from various sources are as follows.
Abandon all illusions about the United States, accelerate the development and production of nuclear weapons, increase defense spending to more than 4% of GDP, and vigorously develop advanced weapons systems.
In addition, the need to create an alliance of nations against imperialism and hegemony, and a comprehensive cleansing of American companies in China, especially from the most profitable financial and service sectors, is pointed out.
It also suggests preparing for war, building strategic food and energy reserves, using military thinking to manage the economy, selling all US bonds, returning Chinese gold reserves and being prepared to completely sever relations with the US.
“Over the past few weeks, some of the decisions attributed to the Beidaihe 2020 Party Summit have become reality. Anti-American propaganda has noticeably increased. The development of the domestic market to replace the external ones is encouraged in every possible way. Students and scientists are returning in their hundreds of thousands. The nuclear arsenal is being rapidly expanded. The PLA's activity near Taiwan and the “second chain” of islands in the South China Sea is growing, and maneuvers have begun to be carried out with live firing.
None of this means that China is going to war. Most likely, we are talking about a preemptive psychological counterattack. Beijing is desperately trying to prevent rash actions by the United States during an extremely dangerous period before and after the presidential elections,” Taranovsky sums up.
