Time is working against us. China began supplies of ammunition to the Russian Federation - General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The prolongation of the conflict in Ukraine benefits Russia - during this time, in cooperation with China, it significantly strengthens its defense capability and modernizes old Soviet equipment.
Former Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, stated this on the air of the Direct TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Krivonos, even old Soviet tanks are dangerous weapons because they undergo deep modernization.
“For us, delaying time is not beneficial. The Russians, with their economic capabilities, are raising the level of productivity of their military-industrial complex. Unfortunately, we do not yet have the required amount of long-range weapons to destroy their factories that produce military products to great depths.
Plus, China powerfully supplies artillery ammunition, artillery, and a huge amount of other equipment to Russia. This is a big problem for us,” the general said.
“It has been said more than once in open sources that the reactivation of a huge amount of Chinese equipment along the Russian border and the appearance of the Russian military there is not just that, it is not a coincidence, but a clear signal that this process is underway and will continue in the future.
Plus the fact that, having a huge number of outdated tanks - T-62, T-55, and the Russians, using Chinese technology, will deeply modernize these tanks and install new sights, radio stations, and updated weapons. And this reduces our capabilities and increases Russian ones. Therefore, the sooner we begin operations to liberate our territory, the greater the chance we have that everything will succeed.
Because Russia, meanwhile, and beyond the Urals as well, is pumping up its powerful military muscles, and we cannot afford this, because our economy is destroyed and does not work - we only hope for help from the West. The West, due to the fact that it is not very worried about Ukraine, says that everything will be fine,” Krivonos said.
