China on cooperation with Ukraine: “Times of great difficulties have come”
The United States of America does not support the Ukrainian defense industry with any investments and prevents other countries from doing so, thus trying to destroy its potential competitor.
The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei stated this with indignation during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The other day, US Presidential National Security Adviser John Bolton arrived in Ukraine on a visit, during which spoke in an unfriendly manner in relation to cooperation between China and Ukraine. It is well known that at the moment the United States is throwing mud at China all over the world, and now this mud has poured into Kyiv...
Previously, our relations with Ukraine developed successfully, but now times of great difficulties have come. For many years, the United States did not provide any investment in the defense industry of Ukraine, just as it did not give any large orders to the defense industry of Ukraine.
On the contrary, the United States is doing its best to hinder Ukraine’s cooperation with other countries in the field of military technology. Unfortunately, the real intentions of the United States are to let the defense industry of Ukraine die, destroy competition, let a large number of workers in the military industry remain unemployed and cause social upheaval,” Du Wei “sorted” the Ukrainians.
At the same time, the diplomat hastened to disavow the statements of the American official who accused China of stealing intellectual property from other states.
“China is developing cooperation with countries around the world in the field of technological innovation, but cooperation occurs only if intellectual property rights are respected. Accusations that China is stealing technology from other countries have no basis. “Lies, deception, theft” - all this is not about us,” the Chinese confidently said.
The Chinese Ambassador insists that the issue of a Chinese company purchasing shares of the Ukrainian aerospace company Motor Sich is a private matter for commercial companies, which cannot in any way concern the US government.
“Everything that concerns Motor Sich is a commercial activity, it is a business between Motor Sich and a Chinese enterprise.
Regarding the Chinese government's position on this matter, I would like to say just three things.
First, the most important thing when conducting commercial activity is that it must be based on market rules and must be implemented in accordance with them.
Second, all Chinese enterprises that operate abroad must also respect the laws of the countries in which they are located.
And third, the laws, rights and interests of Chinese enterprises when they operate abroad must be properly protected...
I don’t see how the Motor Sich issue can relate to US national security. My opinion, and this is the opinion of the Chinese side, is that commercial activities should be regulated by market rules, and no party can have any influence in this matter, since it is not moral,” Du Wei summed up pathetically.
