China sends first combat drones to Serbia
Today, a military transport plane landed at the Serbian military airfield “Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlovic” in Batajnica, delivering the first six Chinese CH-92A combat drones.
Serbian media reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Back in January 2020, Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Material Resources Dr. Nenad Miloradovich said that Chinese CH-92A armed drones were expected to be delivered in the first half of this year, namely two systems kits - a total of six vehicles.
However, he added that employees of the Serbian Ministry of Defense are now in China, where, together with their Chinese colleagues, they are working on integrating systems and equipment from the mentioned Chinese drone with the Serbian Pegasus drone.
Despite the fact that the Serbian military does not advertise the number of Chinese vehicles received, journalists suggest that a batch of six drones arrived in Batajnica.
It is known that the CH-92A will be launched from the Serbian military truck FAP 2228. The wingspan of the Chinese vehicle is just under ten meters, its range is more than 150 kilometers, the maximum flight altitude is 5 thousand meters, and the speed is just under 200 kilometers per hour .
It carries two guided missiles with a range of up to six kilometers and is designed for reconnaissance, artillery fire correction and for attacking ground targets such as light vehicles and radar communications systems.
