The Chinese will dig the Black Sea near Odessa
The Chinese company China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd became the winner of two lots of the auction for dredging work in the port of Ilyichevsk, Odessa region, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the press service of the Administration of Sea Ports of Ukraine.
The subject of the first lot was the dredging of the approach sea channel to the port of Chernomorsk, and the second - dredging work in the operational water area of the 1st bucket of the Sukhoi estuary of the port.
Based on the results of open bidding, China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd offered to dredge the approach sea channel for UAH 87,149 million excluding VAT, and estimated work in the operating water area at UAH 316,999 million excluding VAT, which was the best price offer for each of the lots.
“Due to high competition between companies during the auction, USPA managed to obtain the most attractive price offers and save more than UAH 40 million in total. Since China Harbor Engineering Company Ltd has already proven itself to be a reliable contractor for the dredging project in the port of Yuzhny, we count on the same high-quality and responsible approach to the dredging project in the port of Chernomorsk,” said the head of the USPA Raivis Veckagans.
The final results of the tender will be published in the Prozorro system after studying the winning company's proposal for compliance with the terms of the tender documentation.
