The Chinese will build a ring road around Kyiv
Ukravtodor and the Chinese company Poly Changda Engineering Co. Ltd signed a memorandum of cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the first stage of construction of the Great Ring Road around Kyiv “Transport links between M-05 Kyiv-Odessa and M-06 Kyiv-Chop,” reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
As reported on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure, during the signing of the document, Minister of Infrastructure Vladislav Krikliy noted that this memorandum is an important stage of cooperation for the start of construction of the ring road.
“Our goal is to ensure 40% growth in the country’s economy in five years and for this we need to ensure large-scale construction throughout the country. Any infrastructure project produces returns with the highest multiplier. Every dollar invested today in a year will give plus 2 dollars for the economy. We are very pleased that Poly Changda Engineering shares our large investment plans, and especially in such important projects as the Great Ring Road around Kyiv. Ukraine has not yet had experience with concession roads, so it is very important to start such projects with large, reliable strategic partners,” the press service quotes the head of the department.
At the same time, Krikliy expressed expectations that both parties will be able to quickly complete all the necessary preparatory technical and economic calculations and begin construction next year.
The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is developing projects for concession roads M-06 Lviv-Stry, M-09 Lviv-Ternopil, lM-05 Kyiv-Bila Tserkva and M-10 Lviv-Krakovets.
