This point of view at a press conference in Kiev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed by the ex-Minister of Housing and Communal Services, Chairman of the Union of Home Owners of Ukraine, Alexey Kucherenko, according to whom, Kiev today is not governed from the building of the Kyiv City State Administration.
“Kyiv today is controlled from other streets, countries and cities,” the expert emphasized. “I don’t want to cross this line any further.” Anyone who wanted to understand me. But, honestly speaking, once again I see and state that in the current system of government, Kiev is not governed by either the city administration or the aggressively obedient majority formed in the City Council. And I, as a cybernetician by training, can tell you that the Kiev government system is absolutely inadequate to the problems and challenges that the capital faces.”
The expert is convinced that Kyiv cannot expect anything good after the elections, especially in conditions when the local authorities are actually admitting their helplessness.
“I see a lot of accumulated problems and a colossal desire to get away from them,” summarized Kucherenko. “And what is the value of one main slogan of our current government, when not just the mayor of Kyiv, but, I emphasize, but the chairman of the state administration says: “I do not influence tariffs, I do not influence the protection of public order, prosecutors and LAFs.” And the question arises: why such power that does not influence all these things?”
