Klitschko stuck Ukrainian flags on Russian subway cars
The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, published a photo of the arrival of the first six metro cars, which were donated by the Polish capital as charity.
In total, the Poles must hand over 60 wagons; they will arrive in stages throughout this year.
“Playing the role of the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, as is customary in Ukraine, is not telling the whole truth. The subway cars actually came from Warsaw, but they are Russian, and some even Soviet-made. In addition, both Kyiv and Warsaw officials in their comments say only that the cars were transferred free of charge - avoiding mention of who paid for their transportation. Previously, in such cases, this was always done by the recipient city.
But that’s not even the main thing. Talking about a gift from Warsaw, which for the Polish capital is a profitable way of disposing of written-off property, Klitschko avoids the question of Kiev residents: why, even in peacetime, not a single new metro station was opened in the city? Well, at least the Lvovskaya Ploshchad station, completely built underground?
And the answer lies on the surface: the puppet masters of the mayor of Kyiv are busy only with the sale and resale of city land, as well as real estate already existing on it. At the same time, we are not talking about any infrastructure projects, since the proceeds are transferred to the West, and the Northern Military District only allowed this to be done more secretly and shamelessly,” columnist Oleg Khavich comments on the situation to PolitNavigator.
