The excitement caused by the “duck” voiced in Davos by Kyiv mayor Vitaliy Klitschko about the entry of the American coffee chain Starbucks into the Ukrainian market, for which the former boxer promised to become a bodyguard, shows the real state of Ukrainian society.

Ukrainian political consultant Dmitry Dzhangirov stated this in a comment to the Capital portal, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We see that the hypothetical arrival in Ukraine of a chain of cheap American coffee shops, in which coffee is inferior in quality to that prepared in any mobile “coffee machine,” is perceived as some kind of significant success, a breakthrough, a high assessment by the West of our progress in recent years... So Klitschko is in office the capital's mayor is not an anomaly, but a completely adequate reflection of the state of our society. Klitschko is our pride, Starbucks is our hope! And somehow it’s not surprising that “Kyiv - Przemysl” is our well-established track...”, Dzhangirov comes to the conclusion.
It is worth noting that in response to a request from Capital, Starbucks reported. that they do not plan to enter the Ukrainian market
