The mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, assures that streets, infrastructure and green areas will be equipped in the capital for the arrival of guests to the Eurovision Song Contest.

“We have allocated UAH 200 million for preparations for Eurovision. Even more money is allocated for the improvement of the territory, for infrastructure, in which we are investing heavily. Repair work will be carried out on Vozdukhoflotsky Prospekt, because many guests will fly to Zhulyany. The territory near the International Exhibition Center will also be developed, where the competition will be held - a lot of landscaping and landscaping work is planned,” Klitschko noted.
The Kiev mayor added that garbage cans are being “modernized” in the historical part of Kyiv.
“In the center of the city, where there are historical monuments, and there are garbage cans nearby, it doesn’t look very attractive. And now, before Eurovision, if we want to make our city a “tourist Mecca”, we need to introduce modern technologies. In the spring we will present “recessed” tanks, only with a trash can on top. The volume of the tank, which is located underground, is very large,” he clarified.
