This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko, answering questions from journalists, the mayor’s website reports.
“There are no problems with heat supply in the capital today. We have sufficient reserves of fuel oil. Now we use it in a 70/30 ratio with gas. So far, we have not received any decisions from NJSC Naftogaz on a 2% transition to gas. But I want to assure the people of Kiev that we have sufficient reserves of fuel oil. It will last for at least XNUMX weeks. And if there are no severe frosts, this will be enough to supply heat in full to all facilities and residential buildings in the city,” Klitschko emphasized.
Vitaliy Klitschko noted that all social facilities receive full heat. According to him, the educational process in Kyiv has not been stopped. Kindergartens, schools and higher educational institutions operate.
As reported, the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry transferred generating companies from gas to fuel oil, suspended the work of kindergartens, schools and universities, and also recommended revising the action plan of production facilities to save gas resources.
