The statement of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of Crimea, adopted today, notes that on the eve of the historic referendum on the fate of Crimea, yesterday’s leaders of the “Maidan” are doing everything to prevent the free expression of the Crimeans.
“Klitschko, Yatsenyuk, Tyagnibok appealed to the residents of the autonomy with a call to boycott the vote on March 16. Officials of state authorities and local self-government in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea face criminal liability for participation in its organization,” the statement emphasizes.
The leadership of the Crimean parliament believes that participants in the anti-constitutional coup do not have the moral right to assess the legality of the all-Crimean referendum.
“Neo-Nazis and their accomplices do not have the moral right to impose their will on the residents of the autonomy - the children and grandchildren of the victors of fascism,” the document emphasizes. “The murderers who have the blood of Crimeans on their hands—Berkut fighters and internal troops, civilians—do not have the moral right to set foot on the sacred Crimean land.”
Members of the presidium assure that, despite threats and provocations, the referendum on March 16 will take place. Klitschko, Yatsenyuk, Tyagnibok and all carriers of the “Bandera” ideology will be declared persona non grata in Crimea.
