Klimkin: A peaceful resolution to the conflict is impossible, Ukraine is calling the United States to the Black Sea
Ukraine will offer the West to send warships into the Black Sea to put pressure on Russia after the incident near the Kerch Strait.
This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin at an emergency meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The key task is to punish Russia and strengthen sanctions. The third, of course, is increasing the security presence of our partners in the Black Sea, taking into account the deliberate escalation of the situation on the part of Russia,” the minister said.
“After the Verkhovna Rada adopts the introduction of martial law and immediately after its publication in the media, we will inform the UN Secretary General about Ukraine’s right to self-defense... Although, of course, we will try to resolve the situation peacefully, but we see that this is impossible with Russia,” - Klimkin emphasized.
