Klimkin stated this on Monday in Kyiv at a press conference on the results of Ukrainian diplomacy in 2017 and priorities for 2018, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the department’s press service.
“Yesterday, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov very clearly said that they want to maintain the occupation administration there (in Donbass - ed.), simply to preserve it as part of the Russian colony... Of course, to establish some special rules specifically for this occupation administration, to ensure that this occupation administration remained in the future and then. And this was clearly stated: to move towards the federalization and fragmentation of Ukraine. Such a scenario, by definition, will never pass,” he said.
