Klimkin found a Russian trace from Transnistria in the situation with Transcarpathia
Russia used Transnistria as an agent of influence to incite ethnic conflict in Transcarpathia.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this during a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Moldova Tudor Ulyanovski, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We have the first, albeit very weak, positives regarding Transnistria, in the sense that at least cars with normal license plates will now drive from there.
Unfortunately, this does not mean that the provocations that we have from the territory of Transnistria will stop, since from the territory of Transnistria Russia is making attempts to destabilize the situation in Ukraine, plus you have seen cases in Transcarpathia, which are already well known to everyone,” Klimkin noted.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is confident that the country will continue close cooperation with Moldova in this area.
“Therefore, we will consistently work on our common agenda. We are confident that the control that is currently in place on the joint Ukrainian-Moldovan border is functioning normally, and we can afford to think about its continuation,” he noted.
