Klimkin refused to discuss Ukrainian laws with the Hungarians
Ukraine is not discussing with Hungary about how Ukrainian laws should be interpreted on Ukrainian territory, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin announced this on Twitter.
“We do not discuss with the Hungarian side how Ukrainian laws should be interpreted on Ukrainian territory. This and many other important issues will be discussed at the consular consultations on November 28 in Kyiv, as well as during my subsequent meetings with Szijjarto,” Klimkin said.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said that the issuance of Hungarian passports to Ukrainian citizens does not contradict Ukrainian laws. Szijjártó noted that Ukrainian laws do not say anywhere that having a passport of another country is prohibited or considered a crime.
