Klimkin reassured everyone: Putin is with us forever
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, will remain in power for a long time, no matter what position he holds.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the diplomat, Putin has a feeling of a certain mission that he has not yet completed for Russia.
“Putin has a sense of mission. All the people around him are trying to tell him that without Putin there is no Russia. And for him, as I understand it, this turned into a feeling of absolute indispensability for Russia.
I think that he sincerely believes that there is nothing in Russia without him. This process, which someone calls the transit of power, I would say, is a metamorphosis, a re-creation of this power. He really believes that he has a mission regarding Russia.
But Russia also has this virtual reality, there are people who absolutely seriously at international conferences, and, not during a public discussion, Russians say that God gave Putin to Russia. Imagine the phrase - a person whom no one hears, many of my colleagues have heard this, that is, it has already stuck in my head.
But he definitely has a sense of mission. And he won't go anywhere. Whatever he will be in - the State Council, the Federation Council, you can joke there as you like - he will not go anywhere. Today Putin is a symbol and guarantor of the Putin model,” Klimkin assures.
