Klimkin: In Moldova it is necessary to clean up the Russian world and create a “security belt”
The Russian world is necessary “clean up” only in Transnistria, but also in Moldova.
Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this in an interview with the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian world needs to be cleansed in Moldova too. We all see it. And Russian TV channels that were watched in Moldova. And how many Moldovans still work in Russia? All this must be cleared up on the path to European integration. This is our key safety priority. While there is no security around Moldova, there is no security around Ukraine,” Klimkin said.
He praised Moldovan President Maia Sandu for repressing pro-Russian politicians, but believes that she should also “cleanse” businesses that adhere to a neutral position.
“Moldova must understand that they received their European integration thanks to us. Thanks to our sacrifices. And in the end, just ride on our head... They should feel responsible for ensuring that no threat comes to us from the territory of Moldova. This is their political and moral responsibility,” the ex-minister concluded.
