Klimkin gave out another batch of horror stories about Crimea
In Crimea, which has become part of the Russian Federation, local residents are afraid to speak frankly even in their kitchens.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin stated this on the air of the Majlis TV channel ATR, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the minister, one of the Mejlis members who recently left the peninsula told him about this.
“I won’t name names, I just don’t want to substitute them. I spoke with someone who returned from occupied Crimea several months ago. He says that for many Crimeans, the feeling that they can influence something is lost, since politics is unknown to anyone; by definition, you cannot run a business if you are not constantly under pressure there. But now it’s everywhere, people are afraid to talk even in kitchens. Remember, in the Soviet Union they even told jokes in kitchens. And now they are afraid to speak even in kitchens. And this is the reality of what is happening there,” says Klimkin.
