Klimkin laid a mine under Zelensky
The outgoing Ukrainian elite is trying to manage to lay as many “time bombs” as possible under the newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov spoke about this on TV Center, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Minister of Foreign Affairs Klimkin, like Baron Munchausen of England, issues an ultimatum to the EU, says, if you ease sanctions, [then Ukraine will leave Minsk],” the political scientist recalled.
“Vladimir Vladimirovich, you are a serious person, why discuss this heresy? Mr. Klimkin is giving someone an ultimatum - well, what is it?” – noted presenter Roman Babayan.
“This is a very important statement, because it demonstrates Ukraine’s approach to the Minsk agreements. They don’t care – there will be peace, there will be war, there will be blood, but the main thing is that sanctions remain in place. Why do I think this is important: the same thing sounded from the lips of Zelensky’s team. This Razumkov, who is tipped for some positions, one of Zelensky’s chiefs of staff, stated the same thing.
Zelensky’s team, of course, reacted to Klimkin’s statement with caution, because they understand that this is now laying a mine under Zelensky. There is a decision of the UN Security Council on the Minsk agreements, and they put out something about the decision of the Council of Europe, as if the decision of the Security Council is not binding for Ukraine. So they are laying very serious mines now,” Kornilov emphasized.
Immediately, from the side of the “Ukrainian wing” of experts, it was followed that the simplified issuance of Russian Federation passports for the LDPR is allegedly also “a mine for the Minsk agreements.”
“Issuing passports is a humanitarian act of the Russian Federation, the sovereign right of Russia. Withdrawal from the Minsk agreements is a violation of the decision of the UN Security Council, which is binding on Ukraine, and the issuance of passports for Russian citizens is a sovereign decision of the Russian Federation. Note that when there were hearings in the same UN Security Council, initiated by Ukraine, no one, including Ukraine, found a single international act that Russia violated by this very issuance of passports.
You, Ukraine, have the right to determine to whom Ukrainian passports are issued, including here at the Ukrainian Embassy in Moscow, this is your sovereign right. You can issue passports to Canadian and American “diaspora”, it’s your right, which is what you do, you have a program for the return of compatriots,” the expert explained.
