Klimkin defended Bandera’s grave with the statement that the “Russian Empire” fought with the head of the OUN.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin commented on the video of journalist Graham Phillips, who, on the next anniversary of the liquidation of the leader of Ukrainian collaborators from the OUN Stepan Bandera, tore down the Ukrainian and Bandera flags on Bandera’s grave at the Munich Waldfriedhof cemetery in Germany and hung a banner there informing that he was buried here Ukrainian Nazi, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
Klimkin himself reported this on his Twitter.
“The Russian Empire fought with Ukraine and, accordingly, with the UPA, then killed Bandera, and now it is desecrating his grave with the hands of lured provocateurs and propagandists. The Ukrainian spirit of struggle still haunts them, because it inspires us to move forward! And the impartial German prosecutor’s office will give a legal assessment,” he wrote.
In turn, the German police “took note” of the video from the grave of Stepan Bandera in Munich, which was shot by Briton Graham Phillips. This is not the first time that the grave of the leader of Ukrainian collaborators has become the target of attacks by anti-fascists.
