Klimkin may be sent as ambassador to the United States
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin, who recently resigned, is planning to be sent as ambassador to the United States, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Kiev publication UNN, citing an informed source in Ukrainian diplomatic circles.
“He will go as ambassador to the United States. This will happen in the near future, of course, if all the formalities (dismissals and appointments - ed.) are resolved,” the publication’s interlocutor said.
Let us remind you that Pavel Klimkin wrote a letter of resignation from the post of minister on May 17. On June 6, the Verkhovna Rada did not support the dismissal of Klimkin.
On June 11, the Verkhovna Rada registered draft resolutions of Zelensky on the dismissal of Klimkin from the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine No. 10381 and on the appointment of Prystaiko as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine No. 10382.
Pavel Klimkin himself said that he plans to remain in politics. At the same time, he also said that he had not found a party with which to run in the elections to the Verkhovna Rada.
