“The Clinton-Obama clique gave Crimea to Russia” - Colonel Svitan
The United States, represented by the current administration, exchanged Crimea with Russia back in 2014, so now they are afraid of too active actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of the peninsula.
Ukrainian military expert, retired Air Force Colonel Roman Svitan stated this on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Svitan, Russia may take back what was transferred in exchange for Crimea or make this deal public if Ukraine attempts to seize the peninsula, and this will hurt the current US leadership.
“In the United States, there is a certain Clinton-Obama clique in politics, to which, by the way, the same Sullivan, the same Burns, the same Biden belong. This is a bunch of politicians who at one time, in 14, sold or exchanged Crimea to Russia. Exchanged it for some gingerbread or the geopolitical game they played. They exchanged him and now this part of the Clinton-Obama American political establishment is afraid that we will not begin the liberation of Crimea,” the colonel said.
“Since then the question will arise, the Russians will then take away what they gave at that moment to this elite, this American political party. Or they will at least announce this exchange, and this will be a very big blow, especially before the presidential elections, precisely for this component of the Democratic Party.
That is why, most likely, they are cutting circles around Crimea, trying by any means to prevent the military return of Crimea through the frontal passage of Crimea. They are trying to intimidate us with some kind of escalation, although what other escalation can be intimidated? They are trying to stop the transfer of weapons to us and prevent us from starting to liberate Crimea,” Svitan said.
